Cheryll-brate 2013 - the day!

i had a course that morning but i left as soon as possible. bought 2 mille cakes from Food Foundry  on the way home.

Mel and Jean came to my house earlier for preparation.

this is the living room pre-deco.

we were suppose to get some stuff but this was what we ended up buying from the supermarket.

we got ribbons and crepe paper from Popular.

le guests...

sorry about all the blurry pictures cause the house wasn't bright enough. but this is after all the attempted deco.

i promised i wouldn't put any of the girl's photos but here was my Deliriously Decadent themed outfit.

me and Harvey *shyyyyy

and here's me and Logan...
table arrangement were set in a way to suit everyone's needs i.e. jean wants to sit beside harvey and robert downey jr, i wanna be beside harvey and logan, mel doesnt want to be opposite harry styles so she doesnt have to see his face, etc etc.

our dinner was served on colourful plates and tiered trays but consists mostly of fast food.

the menu Mel and Jean came up with while i was busy distracting Cheryll cause she arrived early-ish.
hoity toity words to describe fast food and instant food :)

the teapot and teacups to serve our A&W root beer float, courtesy of Mel.
yeah, our wigs only lasted for a short photo taking session and then off it goes cause it's crazy hot!

CHEERS!

Cheryll-brate 2013 - the planning

what began with a simple plan of throwing a surprise high tea at cheryll's house turned into a full fledge themed tea party with a stayover at my place.

during icaa dinner, me, mel and jean came up with the menu and the theme.

i started doing up powerpoint slides and mel amended them. please ignore all the squiggly red lines cause i just printscreened them straight from powerpoint.

our moodboard was filled with high hopes and dreams. which due to lack of time and limited budget, it was extremely downscaled hehe.

we even made an invitation teaser to get cheryll excited.

and the inspiration for the card was this.

a few days before our party, i did some last minute printing of our guests.

hello handsome.
Harvey Specter looks ridiculously gorgeous here.

and then me and mel started sending pictures of cups and trays we could probably use. i'll save those for another day.

Cheryll-brate 2013 - the surprise party

Cheryll's bday began with a surprise party planned by her manfriend.

had to act all innocent around her and was so afraid everytime she looked at my phone.

let the pictures speak for itself.

her not-so-surprise face cause she could actually hear our voices from downstairs lol.

le outfit.

the most amazing looking and delicious mango cheesecake!!

cheryll and manfriend.

bday wish.

and tadah, a failed attempt at taking a panorama picture!

next up, Cheryll's party planned by us!!

April 27, 2013

the misc happenings in March that didn't get their own post.

longest post title, ever!

anyway, have i ever mentioned i live in ghetto area where crime happens almost every other week.

just 2 months back my mom got robbed in front of our house. 2 weeks back, there was an attempted robbery at my house. thank god me and my brother weren't home and the alarm went off. but unfortunately this morning, my cousin's house got robbed. thank god they slept through it. it's really how it's come to this, it's like i fear going back home. ironically, the place i feel safest now is in my office. even so, i get crazy panicky in the carpark once it gets dark.

people always ask me, how do i live like this? always in constant fear.
but my question is, why do i have to live like this? when did it start becoming a norm in our country? it has come to a point that even eating in a restaurant filled with people is not safe. they really gotta figure out why this is happening and stop denying that crime rates have increased. it's definitely not some economics problems cause i'm pretty sure we don't have unemployment problem.

enough with the morbidness.

looking at March pictures, there's not much actually. they're all totally random.

meeting outfit no. 1

VERONICA MARS MOVIE IS COMING!!!! EXCITEDD!!!!

the day it was crazy hot at 39.5 degrees!

i thought this was adorable.

and oh, kakak went to Bangkok and got this amazing phone cover!! this was the first round of souvenirs i got. kakak got me a jim thompson bag as well. SO MUCH LOVE!

attended ICAA dinner with mel and jean. we didn't pay attention to anything that was said cause we were busy planning cheryll's birthday party which will be next :)

the day i took 10 minutes to get ready!

and this was my technology bag.
where i keep my battery pack, chargers, pen drives, etc.

meeting outfit no.2.
gosh, i love my azorias chiffon tops.

i got contact lens from MrLens and they gave free chocolate wafer. which was amazing!!! cheryll went to buy later that night and man, it wasn't cheap. but taste oh-so-delicious.

on cheryll's bday, her manfriend planned a surprise birthday party for her. we needed to get there on time before cheryll arrived and waze magically brought us through this hidden streets of bangsar housing area and we came across this castle! someone actually lives in a castle!

cause i'm watching charmed right now, abrupt ending.

April 20, 2013

It's a foodie post.

while waiting for cheryll to arrive, i'm gonna squeeze out a blog entry. we're going to cameron for the weekend and they have something planned out for me and i have no idea what. all they told me was to bring something purple. so, i brought a purple top, pajamas pants, bag, wig, earrings and ring. i hope that's enough hehe.

looking through my pictures, it seems like it's a month of feasting. and also, people leaving me to go on holiday.

the nom nom fest began with this awesome eggs benedict from Yeast.
oh this was really, really good.

now, here's a little secret. i actually don't like eggs benedict. or rather i tried it once ages ago and the sauce tasted really weird so i kinda just stayed away from it since then. but this was yummilicious good!! a definitely must try!! *thumbs up from the girl who doesn't like eggs benedict*

on another day, me and Ian headed to Gonbei san for a buffet lunch. one of those groupon things he got. i realise i only like those ala-carte buffets where you order and then they serve you. cause japanese food left out like this tastes very mediocre.

funny story after that. me, jean and cheryll headed for a trial class for body tone. where you do your exercised on a vibrating machine. i'm not sure cause i just had a buffet or i have motion sickness, i got sooo nauseous after and well, jap buffet came right back out.

on another gluttony day, me and ian headed to Sukiya for dinner i think. the beginning of the meal was yum as always. but after i got pretty full, the waiter served us this gorgeous plate of beef. despite me being full, i simply had to try one. and oh god, it was the most perfect beef i have ever tasted in sukiya. the cut wasn't too thin making is easy to eat, it was cut against the grain hence it was crazy tender, there was practically no fats on it and it was simply delicious!! now, everytime i go back sukiya, i'll hope that they'll once serve this delicious piece of goodness.

this is what i call a self pity sandwich.

it's one of those days i had lunch alone so i bought a sandwich from san fransisco coffee. it's chicken sambal. to not make myself feel bad, i told everyone it was awesome. but who am i kidding! my mom's sandwich is 100x better than this.

on one of those days i met up with the girls, jean was running a little late but me and cheryll were starving. soo we had a lil snack at lil wonton. it was okay-okay. not something i'm going to crave for. but uno was fun. to make the game last longer, we started out with 20 cards lol.

a while back, i told mel if she had any charity events to let me know cause i would love to volunteer. so Nippon was having an event and mel called me up to be the unofficial polaroid photographer. and of course, i was sold when she told me they were serving KFC for lunch!

we went to rumah Juara. Nippon and mel's company, Generasi Gemilang organised this thing whereby they bought boxes and Nippon supplied the paint and the kids got to paint their own lil treasure box. it was soo colorful and pretty! no pictures of the kids though cause it's child protection policy. but it was fun fun fun!!! although, mostly scary for me.

cause all the kids was so excited about the polaroid pictures, i was pretty much swarmed throughout the whole thing. but guess what? the kids all think i'm really pretty :)

this meal is actually from my SC course. food's pretty damn good. i got so excited with chicken curry with potatoes!!! and gado-gado!!! sedap btol.

okay, that's all i got!!
