Cheryllbrating in Singapore

for Cheryll's bday, we decided to go for a trip to Singapore!

poor Cheryll had to do all the planning herself cause we auditors were just busy all the time. i helped her search for hotels though and initially, we intended to get a backpackers cause we wanted a room where all 4 of us cld bunk together. but all the backpackers usually had 8 to a room and we wanted our privacy.

somehow, our searches got sidetracked to boutique hotels and ah, they were absolutely gorgeous! go check out The Scarlet hotel. the website had this goth vampire theme going on. LOVE IT! at one point, we even considered staying in Marina Bay Sands!

but eventually, we settled with a pretty little loft style hotel which we totally love for reasons which will be revealed later.

only a week before our planned date of departure, our flights and hotels was booked. we had no itinerary planned out. it was going to be a random spontaneous trip!

it all began saturday morning and it was a 5.40am flight!! i still had work to be settled and replicated and soo, i was up till 2am trying to complete it. in the mean time, i also had to pack! thank god ian volunteered to pick me up that morning cause if i had to go myself, would have totally missed my flight cause i turned my alarm off when it rang and it took ian to call me a couple of times before i finally woke up.

we got to the airport on time, with plenty of time to spare for McDees breakfast!

come 5.40am, off we flew to Singapore.


even with less than 2 hours of sleep, we still look pretty good ;)

upon arrival, we dumped our stuff at the hotel and off we go to the beach.
totally channelling my ANTM mode in the train.

after 5 minutes spent in the toilet, we looked like this...

it's as if it was the 2nd day already. but i think it was 8 something in the morning and we were already up and about FOL.

and since we were super sleepy and tired already, guess what we did?!!


we found ourselves some lounge chairs and TOOK A NAP BY THE BEACH! yeah, we totally went all the way to singapore for that :)

but let me tell you, AWESOME weather that day for a nap. it was shady and the wind was breezy. LOVED IT!

Cheryll-brate 2011! and this is followed by the cheryll-brate dance... no kidding, there's a dance!



and then mel woke up too!
and we got hungry and went searching for food.

we found ben and jerry's but it wasn't open!!!! soo we waited for it to open.

the girls got really impatient and helped the shop girl open the door locks. yeah, we really wanted our ice cream.
and then, we is happy :)

and thus, marks the end of the first morning in Singapore.

have to stop here. lots of work to do! laytah!
