Where Are They Now - Buffy edition

this 2 weeks is ridiculously awesome! first, we had a holiday on thursday and then it's a long weekend and work 3 days and another long weekend!!!! these are the moments where i freaking love Malaysia :)

i'm actually conflicted right now. whether i should blog or plays sims 3 or watch a tv series. so many things to do with so little time! fudge it, i'm playing sims. 

the above was what i wrote last saturday morning. i had every intention of blogging with it being a long weekend and all. but i don't know what happened. i opened sims 3 and the rest was history.  i was playing from morning till late that night. i wouldn't even have to eat if my mom didn't make me.

anyway, i'm thinking of starting a project. yeah, another one of my many projects i start and never finish. but this one's fun and well, i think much simpler to do than my collage book or making my own iphone cover. yup, this girl's got big dreams! hehe.

let's try part 1 of project Where Are They Now?

so, the other day i was reading Though Catalog. it seems like that's the only website that gives me inspiration these days. i came across this article which talked about things we miss from the early 2000s which included a bunch of actors/actresses from our teenage years and this got my wondering, where are they now?

i then started listing a couple of them whom i was curious about and even asked Mel whether she had anybody she wanted to know about. and it's like i wonder about 1 actor from the show and i start wondering about the rest of the cast. so i figured, maybe i should go tv series by tv series.

let's begin with Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

ah Buffy. one of the few first human-vampire loving shows. back when vampires didn't sparkle yet. i think it was also in the era of Girl Power!!

Buffy aka Sarah Michelle Gellar

after Buffy, she acted in a bunch of B grade type movies like Scooby Doo 2, Grudge 1 and 2 and couple of other movies i've never heard of. oh hey, she's actually acting a new tv series called The Ringer
"A young woman on the run from the mob poses as her wealthy twin sister to try and evade them, but soon discovers that her sister has a price on her head as well."

actually, it was terminated after 22 episodes cause she decided to concentrate on raising her daughter. 

now, here's a fun fact. in 2007, she changed her name to Sarah Michelle Prinze in honor of her 5th year anniversary with hubby, Freddy Prinze Jr. and she now has 2 kids; 4 year old daughter (she is so cute!) and a 4 month old baby boy. it'll probably be a while before she starts acting again. 

Angel aka David Boreanaz

i had such a huge crush on him when he was in Buffy. but he old now.

 since he's not in the above cast picture, let me look for one of him. 

oh helloo.... you know me. i like em broody moody mysterious types.

so anyway, it's no secret what he's been up to after Buffy. he was in the spinoff Angel and subsequently, in Bones. 

been married to his wife, Jaime Bergmen since 2001 with 2 kids. now here's the fun fact. his wife was one of Playboy's playmate back in 1999 - 2001. 

Willow aka Alyson Hannigan

i love her and her family's halloween costumes! they're always so matchy matchy its adorable!!

Alyson Hannigon is probably the one who got the most famous since Buffy. first it was the American Pie series. then she appeared occasionally on Veronica Mars as logan's sister. and finally, we now see her very often on How I Met Your Mother. 

she has been married to her husband since 2003 with 2 daughters aged 4 years old and 8 months old. okay, most people probably already know this but it was an OMG moment for me. i had no idea her husband was Wesley from Buffy! ahh, such a cute family.

Xander aka Nicholas Brendon

oh xander, you look so old now. 

he acted and voiced a whole lot of tv series after Buffy but the recognisable ones are Private Practice and Criminal Minds. i was watching Criminal Minds the other day and suddenly it was "OMG ITS XANDER!!" 

in regards to his personal life, he entered rehab in 2004 for alcoholism. then in 2010, he was tasered and arrested for resisting arrest, battery against a police office and vandalism. he then received 1 year suspended jail sentence. oh xander, what have become of you?

anyway, he's out and currently filming a movie called Big Gay Love. erm... yeah...

Giles aka Anthony Head

i wonder how old is he now...

ah 58...

after Buffy, he played alot of minor roles in movies and TV series. he was in the Iron Lady but i didn't watch that. currently, post production for Percy Jackson. 

he lives with his partner Sarah Fisher and has 2 daughters aged 25 and 22. 

OMG I'M 26 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR!!! sorry for the randomness but it suddenly hit me.

Spike aka James Marsters

i wouldn't have recognised him as spike without the bleached blonde hair. 

he was in Ps I Love You. i have no idea as who. if he looked like this, i wouldn't have recognised him at all. he subsequently acted in a bunch of tv series too. most recent appearance was in Wedding Band and currently, post production of Dragon Warriors. 

it's so sad that they're like doomed to be B grade actors/actresses for the rest of their life. 

okay, here's James Marsters's fun fact. he sings and he's in a band!! but not famous also laa. in relation to his personal life, got divorced and remarried in 2011. 

Dawn aka Michelle Trachtenberg

i'm not sure whether this is a recent picture of her but i love it!!

memorable movies and tv series i can remember her in after Buffy is of course Eurotrip! lol. 17 Again and Gossip Girl. She was such a bitch in GG, a complete 180 degrees from her role in Buffy. Completed movie in 2013 is Sexy Evil Genius and post-production for The Scribbler. 

okay, i'm actually sleepy already cause it's late... so quickly now. 

Tara aka Amber Benson... lots of tv series and unknown movies too. 

Anya aka Emma Caulfield.... same as above. 

please excuse the abrupt ending. Mel's telling a story about a woman whose womb fell out of her vagina and it's too good to miss.
